MVTA's Fall Conference
Each fall, the Missouri Vet Tech Association holds a continuing education conference to fulfill Missouri technicians' CE requirements for the year. Conference registration is included with a full membership! Each year, we will travel to a different area in the state.
This year's conference is planned for Kansas City, MO.
Conference registration deadline is September 15.

Rebecca has had an extensive and entrepreneurial career as a veterinary technician, as the president and founder of CATLYST Veterinary Practice Consultants, LLC, and recently as the president of NAVTA in 2016. She has also worked in the field as a veterinary technician at a mixed animal practice, offered veterinary technician relief services throughout the state of Colorado, and was the first paid administrator of the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians. Having great success working in the field, Rebecca has been able to channel her experiences directly into education, teaching online courses, and facilitating local, state, national and international conventions. She has written for a number of training books and veterinary-related magazines and co-authored articles focused on career choices for vet techs.
Dr. Tad Coles
DVM, MRSS-P, CCFP
Born and raised in the Kansas City area, Dr. Coles received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1983. He spent 2 years at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Greater Kansas City before buying Valley View Animal Clinic, which he ran for 8 years. Dr. Coles worked as a Technical Service Veterinarian and Medical Writer in veterinary industry and did relief work as a clinical veterinarian in Kansas City since then. He wrote textbook chapters, clinical trial reports, and review papers on a variety of topics. Dr. Coles is active in the local veterinary community. He is a board member of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, an organization he was president of in 2006, and the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA). He serves on the Wellbeing Task Forces of the KVMA and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association. As a small animal practitioner he focuses on nutrition, behavior, and preventative medicine. He has special interest in practice management techniques that promote staff resilience and wellbeing and a Fear Free patient experience.
