Become a Veterinary Technician
In order to become a Registered Veterinary Technician in Missouri, you must first graduate from an AVMA accredited program with your AAS or BAS, at which time you will become eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) and the Missouri state exam. After passing both the VTNE and state exams, you will earn the title of RVT. RVTs in Missouri are required to maintain 10 credit hours of continuing education every 2 years with annual license renewal.
RVTs may then go on to become specialized, earning the title of RVT-S.
