MOVTA Leadership Update: Mary McFillen Appointed President for the 2026–2028 Term

Columbia, MO: The Missouri Veterinary Technicians Association (Missouri Veterinary Technicians Association) would like to share an important leadership update with our membership.

During the prior term, Vice President Alyssa Ingerson stepped down from her role. In accordance with the process outlined in the MOVTA bylaws, the Executive Board appointed Mary McFillen to fill the vacant Vice President position.

With the conclusion of Stephanie Gilliam’s term as President on January 31, 2026, and per the MOVTA Constitution, the Vice President automatically succeeds to the office of President at the end of the President’s term.

Accordingly, Mary McFillen has assumed the role of President for the 2026–2028 term.

The Board would like to thank Stephanie Gilliam for her service and leadership, and we appreciate Alyssa Ingerson’s contributions during her time on the Executive Board. We look forward to Mary’s leadership as MOVTA continues its work in support of veterinary technicians across Missouri.
